How to be safe in Science

Planing
Aim: want to find out how to be safe in science.

Equipment:

  • bucket
  • water
  • gas
  • tube
  • safety glasses
  • lighter
  • detergent



Method:


  1. get a big bucket.
  2. put a squirt of detergent.
  3. fill it half way with water.(cold water)
  4. take your loose clothing, roll up your sleeves,tie it into a pony tail.
  5. connect tube in the gas up to the gas pipe and put the other end into the water.
  6. turn on the gas and make some bubbles.
  7. wet your hands and wrist up to you elbows.
  8. get a scoop of bubbles.
  9. hole the bubbles away from yourself
  10. using lighter,ignite the bottom of the bubbles.
  11. slowly open your hands.


Doing

  1. I saw a big fire right in front of my face.
  2. I felt the heat coming from the fire.
  3. i saw an orange figure going across my face.
  4.  i was so amazed.








Explaining


  1. why does the fire go up?(because the air pushes it up)
  2. why is fire orange?(because of orange wood)
  3. were my hands hot?(no)
  4. did i have Adrenalin?(no)
  5. was it a great experience?(yes)
