Intro
I’m going to talk about how flip flops are made. The process it takes is
very interesting you’ll like it! The first ever flip flops were made in Japan, but
they have spread world wide.

P1
The flip flops are made from rubber or heat moldable plastic! The rubber
comes from rubber tyres and the plastic is from old plastic bags or anything
made of plastic. Then that plastic becomes moldable thus making moldable
plastic.

P2
First the rubber/ plastic is put in a machine and melts the material. After that the
material is injected into a mold. Two continuous cooler is running and cooling
the rubber molds hard. A water cooler helps with that too with the cooling
system. The cooling system takes at least 10 or 5 minutes long depending
on the size or thickness of the material.

P3
Once the material is cooled off the workers take it to a spare room to warm up
. The bottom of the shoes is made from a rough materials. Then the workers
stick the two parts together
but they only have one chance so they can’t muck up.

P4

Now they are taken to a colouring section where they are decorated with
colours and different pattern. The flip flops are gone through a machine that
adds the colour to it thus making the patterns or lines. When the paint has
dried the flip flops are put into bags then the flip flops are shipped worldwide.

Bake sale

Today we did a bake sale. It was a fundraiser for family's who can't afford any food, that was the reason why we all did this project. There were mini samples that i brought out for the teachers it wasn't that fun giving teachers any of the samples because i don't like people eating in front of me. Once I was done i helped selling the cakes i also advertised the bake sale it sort of work so Jordan and Tj helped advertise the bake sale. The people who sold the cakes were me, Alyscia, Faith, Trisha and Ruby B.

Science Eddy and Rojan

Today in Science we did a challenge of how much crackers we can eat in a minute. my goal was 100000000000000000000 but i only got 8 which was depressing. We only got to do it  once so i couldn't try again because i only had one paper to record my eating on. also  I've learnt that you need water while you eat other wise you might choke.

Reading "Matariki"

What is Matariki?
The seven stars of matariki are a family the biggest star is the mother Matarik
she has six daughters Tupu-a-nuku,Tupu-a-rangi, Waipuna-a-rangi, Waiti, Waita
and Uru-rangi. During the year they help their grandmother Papatuanuku the earth
during their visit they help Papatuanuku to prepare for the year to come.

While they are there they learn new skills and new knowledge from their grandmother.
Which they guard and protect so they could teach others. Tupu-a-nuku the eldest
daughter spends time with Papatuanuku, she tends on the growing plants and trees.
Tupu-a-rangi loves to sing and has a song for everyone she sends her time singing and
learning new songs with her grandmother.

Waipuna-a-rangi accompanies her grandmother to the waters like the ocean
Lakes and rivers, next are the matarikis twins

Waiti and Waita Papatuanuku knew that they could look after the smallest animals
like insects and baby animals. Last but not least Uru-rangi she enjoys racing her sisters
to get to her grandmother first so that she  could listen to her grandmother's stories.

Matariki is a time where you should celebrate a new year. enjoy every moment of it because it's a time to spend time with your Whanau/ Family, aunts uncles and grandparents or maybe great grandparents.
