Intro
I’m going to talk about how flip flops are made. The process it takes is
very interesting you’ll like it! The first ever flip flops were made in Japan, but
they have spread world wide.

P1
The flip flops are made from rubber or heat moldable plastic! The rubber
comes from rubber tyres and the plastic is from old plastic bags or anything
made of plastic. Then that plastic becomes moldable thus making moldable
plastic.

P2
First the rubber/ plastic is put in a machine and melts the material. After that the
material is injected into a mold. Two continuous cooler is running and cooling
the rubber molds hard. A water cooler helps with that too with the cooling
system. The cooling system takes at least 10 or 5 minutes long depending
on the size or thickness of the material.

P3
Once the material is cooled off the workers take it to a spare room to warm up
. The bottom of the shoes is made from a rough materials. Then the workers
stick the two parts together
but they only have one chance so they can’t muck up.

P4

Now they are taken to a colouring section where they are decorated with
colours and different pattern. The flip flops are gone through a machine that
adds the colour to it thus making the patterns or lines. When the paint has
dried the flip flops are put into bags then the flip flops are shipped worldwide.
