Gymnastics

In P.E myself and my class has done gymnastics, at the start of gymnastics I got I didn't really know what I was doing and throughout the weeks of gymnastics I started to get used to what we were getting taught and everything started to get a little bit easier, The first equipment I went on was the mini-tramp and once I did all the activities on the mini-tramp I went on the parallel beem and that was probably the second hardest I've done, after I went on the Horizonte bar and that was the hardest one I've done yet, there was one skill we had to do that was really hard for me it was called Back wards hip circle and it was really hard, but eventually I got used to it and did it properly the first time today.

Science (bottle)

In science today we went and finished off my group's rocket bottle, we painted in and added wings to it and everything. I learned how to make a bottle rocket and hopefully, in the future, I can learn more about pressure and how it works. I really can't wait to launch out fully made rocket bottle.

13-9-19
today in our lovely science class we launched our bottle rockets and it was very very amusing. First, we went and filled our bottle rockets a quarter of the bottle then made our way to the field, then we shoved this rubber piece that was attached to the pump after we pumped the pump and then we saw the bottle flying off.

Digestive system:
The food goes in through the mouth and combines with your saliva it turns into a substance called bolus, then it makes it way through the oesophagus then goes in the stomach and bounces it around while it's getting dissolved by the acids that are in your stomach once it has finished in the stomach it would have been turned in to a liquid, then it would go through the duodnnm then it travels through the small intestines and gets processed and ready so it could go in the large intestines, when it's going through the large intestines it would have removed any access liquid and enters the rectum which sends a message to your brain telling that your ready to let it out.

Sherbet Science

A couple of days ago in Science, we made Sherbet it was disgusting for because I added too much of the ingredients that were used to make the sherbet. The ingredients used to make them were.

  1. sherbet
  2.  citric acid
  3.  tartaric acid
  4.  raro
  5.  icing sugar
We put the tartaric and citric acid with baking soda all together to make the base texture of the sherbet.

then added the raro and icing sugar to give it more flavour and more taste to it.

The results were a foamy explosion in my mouth, it was so disgusting to swallow because of the foamy texture to it while it's in your mouth.

Kiwibaker

Today in Cooking we are making a blog post about one of the things that we have baked in our time being in Cooking, so I'm going to talk about how my group made 3 banana loaves. We planned out our recipe, ingredients and method on a piece of paper, that was fun because I got to learn how people in New Zealand got to make banana cake. The next couple of days we started making the banana cake batter, we got all of the ingredients to put in one g bowl ready to put into the loaf trays, that was probably the part that I liked the most. We didn't get time to make any changes into our recipe but it was delicious anyway, there were key skills that I have learnt during that time I learnt when to put the chocolate chips in the mixture instead of the top on the banana loaf, I enjoyed this very much because I got to learn most of the raising agents in the Kiwi baker unit and we also got to bake our food.

How to set up a 3D printer

this is how you set up a 3D printer, first you turn the printer at the bottom right back on the station then you get whatever you need to print a download it on the computer connected to the 3D printer, next you  set up the 3d printer so it would print out the hot plastic that comes out of the 3Dprinter, first you add a layer of plastic to make the base then you change the hight of the printer to get it to print and then you press print then the 3Dprinter should do the rest of the work by making your design.

CMM how i made my ID tag

CMM1
Last term we made ID tags for our learning in CMM1 and today I gotta make a blog about the work that I have done to make the ID tag. Fist we got a nice long thin piece of metal and we cut out a good enough size for us to make the ID tag with, we filed and sanded off the edges and side so the bit of metal pocking out wouldn't scratch or cut us after we filed and sanded the piece of metal we went on smoothing the surface and edges of the piece of metal. We put some blue liquid to put on the piece of metal so, in future, we would see the outlines that would be put on the piece of metal, after we have outlined the metal, in the middle of the outlines we put on the piece of metal, we would drill a hole through once we have drilled the hole we put in our own designs with letters that we have engraved on to our work, after that we polished our designs to give it more of a glow.

JAP1

Introduction:
A couple of weeks ago Myself and my other classmates started working on our own self-introduction in Japanese, at first it was hard to do but as I started doing more of it it's gradually started getting easier and easier. I was talking about who I was, how old I was, My fake phone number and, where I was from. It was hard to copy in the Japanese words on the TV. But all and all I enjoyed the learning and it was very fun and educational.

My first 3D print

Today in CMM I started on my 3D, The past few days I have had CMM my prints weren't working they would always fail, but today it didn't it actually work for once, at first it was bugging but, it gradually started working through the time. First I looked in tinkercad for my design, then I copied the URL Image into the computer so I could 3D print it on UPStudio.

3D print

Today in CMM1 I started to 3D printing my own 3D print because of the last one not coming up that well, the back was all melted and disgusting all and all I didn't like it. I wanted to start up the same shoe design but this time hopefully look better than it was before hopefully, he back would be yucky and melty like it was before, also I started a new design on a shoe I did this because it really gives off the basketball side of me, basketball is a passion of mine and I hope that I would get into a High league basketball team in the NBA.

English

I have never felt anything quite this warm before, this warmth where does it come from,  what to know where this warmth is coming from, "ahh" I said with a happy mood, "It is coming from the circular figure up upon the sky" I said calmly, I stared for a while but every time I did it would harm my eyes, I wonder why that happened. I stood then started lying down on the warm ground, I soon started realising that the longer that I lay down on the blazing sun it would burn me I couldn't name the paint but, it terribly harmed my skin, parts of my body were a disgusting red.... to be continued

CMM1

For CMM1, I Used a 3D printer by using tinkercad and making my design on it before I put it up on UPstudio for it to get printed, what I made was a 3D design of the Filipino flag because it really represents me and my culture. I really thought this was fun because I actually got to use and learn how to make a 3D printer, I hope when I am finished my 3D print design I would be happy because I have spent of time and effort into making my Flag.

Science

today in science I did all my book work from page 56-79, it was a tough challenge because of all the things that i had to do during the time with my book work, all and all I think I did a good job with my work because i had to do at least 23 pages. I wrote down the states of matter and how they work, I also did the cross word puzzle, and i also wrote down scientific words that relate to our week work. I also learn how tubes work in science which was interesting in my book *pa dum tssss*.

Water states

A couple of days ago we did an experiment with water (Ice). First off we set up our bunsen burner, tripod, gauze mat, and the clamps. We put ice into the beaker so it would be ready to boil, we waited for Mr. Reizinger to light up our bunsen burner. It was ice cubes and start so it was in its solid form, then once it melted the water turned into its liquid form. as the ice cubes were melting the thermometer was recording the temperature change. After the water had been boiled it would turn into its vapor form (GAS FORM)

Thank you for reading my blog I hoped you enjoyed the learning that I have shared with you.

Science

On Tuesday we did an experiment with coke. we put the coke into a beaker and let it simmer for a while, once it boiled up we collected the vapor into a test tube to make fresh clean water. The way we did that was we set up a tripod and put a bunsen burner underneath the tripod. Next, we put the gauze on top of the tripod. After we that we put the beaker on top then poured the coke into the beaker to let it steam up.

Equipment:
tripod
beaker
bunsen burner
test tube
gauze mat
boss head and clamp

Questions:
1. How does distillation separate teo different liquids?
Ans: The boiling points of the liquid are different.

2. What are the two chemical processors happening during the reaction?
Ans: Vaporization and

3. How is distillation used in real life? Name some examples.

Science

Yesterday we used potassium permanganate by putting it into 6 different test tubes. In the first test tube, we put 10 ml's of water in the remaining 5 test tubes we put 5 mil's of water. We used tweezers and added a single crystal of potassium permanganate to test tube one. We gently shook the test tube until the crystal dissolved. Next, we used a pipette and took 5 ml's from test tube one and poured it into test tube 2. We repeated this with all the test tubes until we got to test tubes 6.

our result was diluting the potassium permanganate so the last test tube was considerably lighter in color compared to test tube one. I found out that concentration is a strong form of liquid and dilution is a watered down version of a liquid.

thank you for reading my blog.

Filtration

For science, we did filtration with dirty water. The aim of this experiment was to filter out dirty water using different filters to try to get the dirty water as clean as we could. for we used charcoal, sawdust rocks, and the filter paper. we poured the dirty water in through each of the filters. We were using the filter paper last. The results were not as I imagined the water was still dirty after using all four filter methods. My question is why the water was still dirty after the process it went through?

Boiling tube

Bunsen burner

Wooden splint

Bottle of acid

Metal

Safety glasses

                                            Hypothesis
My hypothesis is that the acid and the metal will start to make hydrogen, then when you light up the match stick then put it in the beaker it will start to make an odd sizzling noise. That is my hypothesis in our experiment.

Method
  1. Light your bunsen burner
  2. Add your sample of metal to your test tube. add 2 ml of acid
  3. carefully invert the boiling tube above the test tube containing the metal and acid.
  4. Hold the test tubes together for a few minutes, allowed time for the inverted boiling tube of fill with gas.
  5. when you think the tube is full, your lab partner should light a wooden splint.
  6. carefully, but quickly, tilt the boiling tube full of gas upwards and insert the burning splint into the mouth of the test tube.

Health

Whare tapa wha is about hauora's four dimensions. (what are the four dimensions?)  the four dimensions are made up of fr different parts Social, wellbeing, spiritual and mental theses what makeup hauora/whare tapa wha.

(How did I contribute to my team?) I helped my team by cutting out most of the walls on out "whare" and I also put the walls and roof together.

(how did I cope with the challenge and how did I relate to my team?)
I made sure everybody helps with our whare because if I hadn't done that we would have finished late instead of finishing later.

This is our end result when we finished our whare.
