Passion Project

Passion project I chose was great i loved experiencing new things in Math Crafts. I've done think that i haven't really done before. It was really fun creating things out of paper. we made a lot of things like the Mobia strips, Meanders and String Art. I learned that if you cut a mobia strip on a certain way you can get different styles. the part i enjoyed the most was nothing although it was interesting I didn't really enjoy it. I disliked the whole thing because it wasn't really my style and i didn't really like some of the things we did during our class time. Next time I would pick something that doesn't involve math or science. overall I thought the groups in my class did a out standing job all of them did very very well.    

EOTC week

EOTC Week

We did a lot of things in EOTC week. We went to a Marae, omaka sout camp, adrenaline forest and Spencer park. the first days was the Marae because i have not been to a Marae before and that was my first time going, at first it was boring because the man i the Marae spoke for 20 minutes but, after he talk they sang a beautiful song to us all and we sung back to them. We had drink a drink of water and we went saright to the Museum. It was really fun there because I got to learn a lot of Moari history and they survived through out all these years. The next day we went to Omaka scout camp it was a really gloomy day and I hated the weather, because of the weather we could do our activities that well because it was muddy and wet but, we got to have a wonderful day on the week after. Next day we went to the best place ever it was Adrenaline forest, it really got my blood pumping and the was sweating so much because of the hight we were on. At lunch we had fish and chip it was the best I just loved that day I got to complete at least 4 levels. 

Adrenaline Park

November 29th was the last day of EOTC week although the week was fun, all fun must end. yesterday we went to adrenaline forest for the day it was my favorite. It was really fun there and very challenging at first but i got use to it when time passed on.  

One way i showed my CARR value  was by committing and getting the cores done. Sadly I only got to do level 2,3,6 but not 4 I didn't have time to complete level four. My favorite part was level 6 because it really got my blood pumping and my legs were shaking because of the height level I was on. The most challenging part for me was level 2 it was really really high up, I almost fainted half way through the track. I accomplished level 2b 2, 3b 3 and 4 i thought i did well.     

Favorite day

I had the best day at athletic. I loved seeing all the try hard there. I did my best in all my races but unfortunately I only got into 200m finals. All the other kids from our school like Aron Perez, Michael Harris, Gerald Sanchez and Waisea Henry made it into the finals and did a great job. I think we all represented our school really well and I think we all did our best even though it started to rain but. the most challenging thing that me and the boys did was the relay 4x100 run even though we were coming second to last we managed to come third in the relay. Some of the other girls did well in there events. Even though we all had fun i think it was a really fun.   

Writing

Hello I'm Edrian and i was told to watch this video so i could write about it.

It was finally time for the presents, my father gave me a box with a bow inside it and i thought to myself, "why would it have a bow inside of it?" My Dad went back for another thing i couldn't wait, "it was a puppy!" i screamed with excitement, "I should name her Edrian".

 I loved playing with her, she was my best friend in the whole wide world no one could top her. Years have passed and one day I came back from school I was feeling sad because everyone made fun of my braces, well i went to Edrian and i played with her. Edrain didn't look good she looked as if she was sick. a few days later Edrian  was lying on the floor and was not waking up, i called Dad and he took her to the vet hospital to see what was wrong with her. After a while I was allowed to go in and see how he was. I was sad to see her like this so i started crying my dad came back from talking to the vet and he had some bad news he said, "I'm sorry but Edrian is going to pass away" I had a massive frown on my face and I started crying again. 

I liked this task because we had something to do and it was actually fun.

I thought the video was really Sad and Kinda dark.

We had to write down our perspective with either the dog or girl.

Cybersmart

Dear Emma 

Myself and TJ would like $50 for winning the Summer Learning Journey. What I would do with the $50 dollars is spend it on v-bucks but, that is not all I want I also want lollies and Minecraft vultures. You might b thinking on why i want these items well, I would spend the v-bucks on fortnite obviously, I would use the Minecraft vulture to get skin.

Narrative writing.

Problem: There is a big ugly giant, the face on the giant was horrifying I had to make a clickbait video. The giant said these exact words, “FE FI FOU FUM I SMELL A CLICKBAITER ON MY DRUM” the giant came and got me and stored me in his anti clickbait dungeon...

Explanation: Day 200 aka 2 hours I don’t think i can live without uploading a clickbait video, my armpit hairs have grown tremendously over the time but, then I heard him my prince has come to save me. My prince yelled out with the most charming voice, “Let down your hair!” of course hair on my head wasn’t long enough.

Solution:I should never make clickbait videos i want to do more minecraft lets play videos. I love minecraft and i should play it for the rest of my life. No more clickbaiting people and no changing my intro song everytime.

Cyber smart

This is what I have done for cyber smart. It's about South Africa's population, capital city, it's weather and some of it's main cities. My class had a choice of 10 different countries and I chose South Africa. I hope you have enjoyed my work and comment anything from what I have done wrong to something good that I have done.
 

EOTC Week project.

This another piece of work about EOTC week. This is the make a raft project in EOTC week. I have made the total cost on all the things that need to get for the raft. I made the raft with google drawings. i have added lines so people would know what the are looking at.

Persuasive Writing

I’m most certain that blogging helps us improve our learning, because think of all the
things that people could send you after almost every post that you make. You could
improve your work by just a single blog comment.

Another reason why I think that blogging can help you is when you are stuck on a
question you can just go to someone’s blog and get some ideas off of their blog.
Blogging helps us in class to, when the teacher tell the whole class to share their
work classmates can give you feedback towards your work this really this would really
help a tone during your work. If you have nothing to do you could free write and post it
on your blog, it also could improve you with your commenting by reading other peoples
comment you can get ideas off of them and put it on yours.

When someone comments on your blog they can give you very good tips on what you
should do next time, after word you may fix or redo your work to make it better. overall
I think that blogging helps with everything about learning.

We were working on cyber smart google search, it has really helped us improve out google search. I have learnt how we should search our google searches.

Maths

This is what we did for math (probability) it was fun to do and i hope i get to do this again.( based on your experiment, what advice would you give Shelley?) one advise that i would give Shelley is that she should still take the dice because obviously she won't get the same results as us.(compare your advise with other groups who have tried the same experiment)...to be continued

Dogs make better pets than cats

I think that dogs are better than cats. Why? because of all the things that you can do with your dog. dogs are easier to train than cats, cat are always lazy and they do nothing all day. dogs follow orders to which cats don't.

Dogs go outside to pee or poo cats do not, you'll have to buy a potty for them and that could cost a lot because of all the sand that you'll need to buy. Many many dogs have saved lives but cats have not. when you get cats for the first time it might take some time just to get there trust but, god in the other hand don't need that much time to get use to there owners, sure so some dogs take more time to get use to than others but that is only on rare accusations.

Dogs are a mans best friend that's the same for women too, for example if you want to look cute or attract attention to yourself you can get like a cute little cup dogs. if you try taking cats out they might not like strangers touching them and that can result to scratches to the person who pats the cat.           

EOTC Week

This the work is what I have provided for EOCT. The work that i have mad is about our HHS camp tradition. it's a year 8's have a tradition for going to camp so that is why we are doing this work. There will be more work i will post on my blog about this in the future. I hope you enjoy my coming up work and this one

Fairy tail.

This week we have started writing about fairy tail writing this is what I have done.  

Orientation: intro:It was a normal day making my daily clickbait videos I mean my good content videos, I love my videos and my how i’m good at fortnite. physical setting:I heard there were magical beans located at the south of England UK, I was determined to get these magical beans. I heard if you got the beans your body will turn into a clickbaiter. Characters: I heard there was an ugly giant, Sameer and the grant prize a hairy golden chicken for myself ali a, the chicken will be the ultimate clickbait. Hook to the problem: once I climbed the the beanstalk I heard something dangerous, it sounded so dangerous  that it was clickbait worthy...

Science

We were heating a solid to a liquid then a gas, how we did that is what i am going to talk about. The first thing We did was to get the beaker then we put the beaker on to a gauze, the gauze was on top of a tripod, under the tripod was a bunsen burner. We put the solid it aka ice in the beaker to start the process, we also put a thermometer to measure the heat of the ice/ liquid. Sooner after the ice/solid turned into a liquid which was water, then it turn into steam which was the gas.

Method

   

1. Set up the tripod, gauze and the bunsen burner.
2. Take a Beaker and put the beaker on top of the gauze.
3. Turn the bunsen burner on and wait till solid truns to liquid then to gas.

Potassium Permanganate 

We did a little experiment on potassium permanganate. What will happened to it when it was in water, we put it in the water and it diffused in the water. it was amazing to look at and i had fun.  

water rocket

These last few weeks we have made water rockets. They are worked from air pressure, water and a bit of weight using cardboard. The first thing we did was watch a video in that video was a tutorial. The video didn't just show us how to make it it also showed us how it worked. It was really interesting because i never thought that air was an important part of flight. We all tired the same thing, we built a smaller version of the water rocket but, They worked almost just as well as the one in the video.   

Math

Today, in class we all made 3D shapes with paper. The reason why we did this is because Geometry is what we are learning about in maths this week. I have made a rectangular prism for my first one and I also made a hexagonal prism for my second choice of 3D shape. I have had fun with this learning session and I hope I get to do this again in the near future. Tell me if I have missed anything out.     

In Maths we have been working on:	Geometry
Our W.A.L.T is:	We are learning to create and construct nets of different 3D shapes.
My shape is called:	Hexagonal prism and rectangular prism.

Article- Valedictorian Anonymously
This is what my opinion about this article. My other opinion's are about this is guy and why did he do this and what did he achieve by doing this kind of thing. This is kind and all but he had to have a reason for doing this why wasn't there a reason that said why he did it in the article because I am really curious on why he would do this. the good side about this is that he did something nice for a whole year on a social. If i could i would give this guy a reward maybe a dollar or 2 for this guy. 

Writing

She saw it coming from around the corner... "Their it is" she said as the white blob of monster grew thicker and thicker. The girl stood there looking at the white blob feasting on the an old almost died out corps of Pepa Pig. The girl didn't know what to do so she did what anybody that's stupid would do of course she ran and the white blob heard her foot steps but luckily the white blob could not see. The white blob screamed why you may ask well it's because the white blob use Eco location to find it's way around the area. the girl took a turn into a spot where the... to be continued 

ANZAC Jack

ANZAC Jack

I like the new type of novel study because I like the books and it
involves better things unlike the last reading activities.
activities.The most interesting part of the story is when they
help out ANZAC Jack. I thought it was nice of them. I’m not
really wondering about anything about the book well because
i don’t really care about what we read. I predict that ANZAC
Jack might go to prison for making a living from stealing. The
cops might catch him one day stealing so he goes to prison.
Although it’s a bad thing he still might go to prison for stealing.
I don’t know this but i’m just trying to predict what is going
happened in the story. I also have another prediction since
ANZAC Jack doesn’t know where lucas lives so he might
accidentally rob lucas's house after that he goes to prison for
stealing.

Respect Writing

Today i showed respect by the first respectful thing I did today was when I helped my friend play basketball, he was a little inexperienced so i helped him play. I said bless you to someone who sneezed
that is respectful because it is good to say that when people sneeze also it's respectful. I opened the door for a teacher because I like opening doors for people, it puts me in a good mood when I do it.   

Reading

Reading alternate ending

Me and Benny started enrolling into different school and started seeing new friends.
Are new friends were really fun to have but, I miss Benny playing with me and I wish
that I hadn't been the rescuer so Benny doesn’t push me off again.

One day I went to the place where he pushed me off and I saw him we talked for a

little but, since then I we have not seen each other.

New building

New school.

This is what i think about the building. I think the new building is a
good and bad from my point of view because the cafeteria i packed
with people and it’s really small the food is great but there aren’t
many seats to sit on. The rule that Mr Scott made was clear you don’t go in the cafeteria unless you are buying anything or you need to
go to the library but, i see people that sit in the cafeteria with there
food that they bring from home which means less people who buys
food in the cafeteria get to sit down and enjoy their own food that
they bought with their own money. The good bit about it is that
some classes get new rooms for them to work in which is great
and amazing there are new offices for the office ladies and new
rooms for principal and all the other important teachers. That's
what i thought about the new class rooms.
