Science (gods)
In Japanese folklore, animals play an important role in the origin of earthquakes. According to a popular story, the cause of earthquakes is the giant catfish Manama. Hiding somewhere beneath the Japanese mainland, sometimes he wiggles his tail, causing an earthquake in the human world. People thought that it was the weird things that cat fish do before an earth quake starts.

P.E Gymnastics
Today in gymnastics I was practising the sequence that I am going to do in the future. I had a lot of muck ups during the time i was on the tramp because I wasn't landing my somersaults and I wasn't doing my handstand back rolls, but at times I landed my somersaults and almost did a forward roll on the parallel bar so i was proud of that.

Science
This week in Science we learned more about the layers and volcanos on the earth. There are four layers in the earth's crust, the thinnest and coldest layer of them is the crust. The crust holds the oceans and forms the continents below us, the second and most thickest layer is the mantle, the mantle is a thick layer made up of molten rock, the third layer in the outer core it is the second hottest and the inner core and is the hottest part of the earth.
Volcano disaster
Mt. Tambura is the deadliest eruption in recent human history, claiming the lives of up to 120,000 people. On 10 April 1815, Tambura erupted sending volcanic ash 40km into the sky. It was the most powerful eruption in 500 years. Upon entering the ocean, the force of the pyroclastic flow caused the creation of a series of towering tsunamis. Thanks to the enormous amount of SO2 emitted, the world experienced a severe temperature drop that led to global crop failures.

Wind racers
Today in science we are making wind racers for the next four periods. So I will be updating this blog as we go through this.
Method:To make adjustments to the cart so it can blow further when we use the wind or the leaf blower, for this to work we need to make a big one and make sure the wind blows it perfectly.
Design: We are going to make a wide triangular sail for our wind racer, We will use newspaper to make a triangular sail, we will also use sticks, strings/rubber bands for support.
Equipment:
- New paper
- Sticks
- Tape
- Hot glue
- Pieces of wood
- Pole
- Rubber bands or strings

Art
Painting Techniques: In art this term we have been learning how do paint techniques. The techniques we used were Gesso, texture, blending, and layers. Gesso's are a liquids that you paint and its a base so that the paint doesn't get through. Texture is the type of painting that you create. blending and layers is just combining a bunch of different colours together. These re pretty much all the painting styles that we used.
Here are some of the art that i have created using the techniques.

Science
Another bone that interested me was the tibia and the fibula the tibia and the fibula are the two bones in your shin. the tibia is thicker than the fibula and it is parallel to the fibula, it has a role to play for supporting the ankle. the fibula is the thinner bone that is parallel to the tibia and it does pretty much the same as the tibia it helps to support the ankle.
The has a significant role to play in your body, it is one of your vital organs and you wont be able to live without it. The heart pumps blood to your whole body and lungs, it also pumps energy and oxygen through out your body and takes out the carbon dioxide. The heart is a muscle and it was one of the strongest one in your body, the left side of your heart is the stronger side of the heart because it needs to pump the blood throughout your whole body and the right side pumps to the lungs so it wont been to be as strong.
The biceps and triceps. they are two muscles that work together in order for your arms to move, when you stretch out your arms the triceps tense up because it need to support the fore arm bone to go down and the same thing happens when you curl up your arm inwards, the muscles will help the fore arm to go up and down. when the arm goes out the triceps contact and when the arm curls up the biceps contract.
